  • The TrackChair operator can use their stronger arm to compensate for their weaker or injured arm.
  • The TrackChair has a 2:1 ratio when turning which makes it easy to steer the chair on grass and carpet. Forward/Reverse travel is 1:1 ratio.
  • The axle can be replaced with 2 stub axles that offer the TrackChair a 2:1 ratio continuously. This can be a major benefit to the elderly user.
  • Forward momentum is no longer a problem when turning; in fact it¡¦s now an advantage with the differential action. That means that the energy you put into moving the chair forward can now be used to help steer the chair rather then wasting this energy and having to put more energy into slowing the inner wheel.
  • TrackChair is easier to manoeuvre over obstacles. Both arms can be used to drive one wheel over the obstacle, and the obstructed wheel will not loose traction unless both wheels loose traction. It is impressive to see this operation in action!
  • The TrackChair is also easier to use single handed compared to a conventional single handed wheelchair. The two hand rims only require half the effort to lock together for forward travel and turning is a 2:1 ratio.
